Emergency Filtration Products Issues Production Update
HENDERSON, NEV, Oct. 28, 2005
Emergency Filtration Products Inc. (EFP) (OTCBB: EMFP) today announced that it has received and is
continuing to receive filters from its West Coast-based supplier at its facility in Henderson, Nev. The
company expects to begin enhancing the pre-cut filters by coating them with nanoparticles next week.
The company will then package the filters and begin shipping them to its distributors and customers
shortly thereafter.
The company's initial production plans call for enhancing the filters at the rate of approximately 500,000
filters per week. Management believes that the current facility will be able to produce as many as 1 million
filters per week, as demand dictates.
Separately, the company announced that it has appointed Karen Custodio as director of business
development. Custodio's responsibilities will be to facilitate orders and coordinate sales and distribution.
Previously, Custodio was business development manager for Ever Corp., a large, privately held Manila,
Philippines, company. Prior to that assignment, Custodio worked as project manager for New Dimensions
(H.K.) Ltd., a Hong Kong-based company.
The company also announced that it has named Douglas K. Beplate as chief executive officer. Beplate
remains the company's president. Sherman Lazrus, who has acted as interim CEO, will remain chairman
of the board of directors.
"We have been concentrating the company's efforts to producing a sufficient number of filters to fill the
orders that we currently have on hand, as well as to establish production levels that will satisfy demand
for the NanoMask," said Beplate. "We welcome Karen Custodio to our management team, who will help
us in better serving our distributors and customers."
